Faith Bible Church, has multiple
families from an active, like-minded
church in Santo Domingo, D.R. Our friend and fellow-FIRE member, Josue
Raimundo, has regular ministry
there and long-term relationships. Relief, at least for some time, may
need to be
channeled through Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic on the other side
of the island from Port-au-Prince. Like minded churches
there and in Haiti are working together.
Together, our brothers are surveying the situation. They are seeking to
minister to and mobilize local Haitian believers for church-centered
and
Christ-honoring relief
ministry.
We are all concerned that God receive glory in the midst of
this catastrophic tragedy. Doing so through reliable local churches
should
solidify a witnessing presence and Christ-honoring testimony in the
recipient communities as well as place sound Haitian churches in a
leading role in expressing
Christ's love to a hurting nation on all our behalf.
Faith Bible Church has agreed to be an avenue for relief funds to be
channeled by Josue/IBSJ, those funds to be administered under the
general oversight of our
church, locally, and, on site, Josue along with leaders from our sister
church (IBSJ) in
Santo Domingo for Haitian relief.
At this point, funds can be sent to Faith Bible Church earmarked for
"Haiti Relief". Churchs and persons outside the USA can easily and
securely give through a designated PayPal account set up for this
purpose (see left sidebar). PayPal accepts credit/debit cards
as well as bank
check payments.

It is our intent that all funds so
designated, less bank handling and
transmission expenses, will be used for Haiti Relief. Josue is
attempting to raise separate funding for his major travel expense.
Faith Bible Church will serve those who want to participate in this way
for the immediate crisis. However, we expect that our role will be to
expend or remit all funds received for the intended purposes within
twelve months from now.
